Next Olympia Meeting: January is a month for setting your vision at KBWomen. Come prepared to create your own "2009 Faith Board" to keep your goals set before you throughout the year. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1 What are you believing God for in 2009? Did you know that the Bible tells us to write our vision down and make it plain? We're planning an exciting workshop for our January meeting. In the spirit of setting goals for the new year, our January KBWomen's meeting is getting creative! Each person will have the opportunity to create their own "Faith Board". What is a "Faith Board"? Faith boards are sometimes also called vision boards or inspiration boards. It's a board or poster with personally meaningful images, photos, statements, verses, quotes, & words on it. Each person's board will be personal & unique. What is the purpose of a faith board? Faith boards are meant to be a visual method to capture goals, dreams, values, & desires. When you post your dreams & goals in a visual way, it makes the power of belief plain, visual & more likely to be obtained. The process of creating the board is valuable, in that it gives someone an opportunity to reflect & plan. Once the board is complete, it is valuable in a different way. Visually seeing your goals & what you're believing God for reminds you to pray, creates focus & will help you take steps in the right direction. For our board projects, each person will be focusing on their vision for 2009. Each person can decide themselves to focus on personal, business or a mix of the two. Some possible sections of a person's board could refer to family, health & wellness, career/business, personal development, spiritual, & other similar categories of faith goals. Boards can have multiple sections. Be in prayerful contemplation about what you're believing God for in 2009 in preparation for this project.
