It's Time for Faith Boards, by Tammy Redmon
Appropriate to the beginning of a
brand new year, this is a great time to get your own vision board,
life-map, view and description of the course that you know you are
called to follow written down. There are simple steps to take to make
the journey quite rewarding all on it's own. But first before we get too
far into it, I invite you to take some focused alone time with the Lord
to get your download straight from His big Daddy heart and get in tune
with His vision - your inheritance. Then, follow these steps to produce
what we at KBWomen call your Faith Board (which we will be doing
together in Olympia next Tuesday)!
-
Start with 2009:
When we start small, with a single year, we begin to open up our
minds and space for more. Getting totally clear on the shorter term
helps to evolve the plan for the long term. Focus on what you are
believing God to do in 2009 for your family, business and life.
-
Write it down (in
whatever style is most comfortable) the vision that God has given
you for 2009. You can journal, write single words, short sentences
and even poems - the idea is to get it on paper.
-
Picture it: Now
that you have your outline written down in word form, start
collecting pictures. These are images that captivate, motivate,
inspire, tell the story all on their own with what the words are
saying. Having images to inspire your action is key to the success
of following your course. You can go to magazines, picture books,
family photos, & your own scrapbooks to bring the images together.
-
Add Color: You
may be thinking in terms of blue, pink, red and yellow and how about
going for Magenta, Turquoise, Chartreuse - walk on the edge, it's
your time to just be creative! It's important to choose colors that
empower and excite you; the color is also a mark of creativity. It
can be stickers, shapes, and textures, art elements that captivate
and show a touch of you like nothing else can.
-
Put it all
together! Now that you have collected your words, images, and colors
and clearly received the divine download of your vision - get out
the glue and scissors and get creative. Bring it all together on
one backdrop that will hold all the elements (poster board, picture
frame, wall) and in no particular order just fasten the pieces
together. You may start with 2009 in large print in the center of
the board and affix the images and words randomly around it. Some
people have put the main word or focus in the center i.e. Dream,
Faith, Indulge, Success, Love, Hope; it is for you to choose.
Remember, there is no
wrong way to create a Faith Board i.e. vision board, follow what God has
put on your heart, take action and keep the view plainly in sight. Have
fun, enjoy the process and please share your success with us! Krista & Tammy
More of this explanation will be
posted later this week on
our Blog.

ONLINE TIP:
Have
you heard of Twitter yet? Check it out here:
www.twitter.com. If you
want to promote yourself or your business, "twittering" is a great,
free option to get some online exposure. With Twitter, you can set
up an account and send out 'tweets' (short tid-bits of info - you
decide what topics) and people can decide to 'follow you'. Those
people become your 'followers'. They are updated every time you
tweet about something.
