     Power & Restoration    by Tammy Redmon

God is Great! Isn't He wonderful and mighty in your sight? May has been a month of power and restoration, and we are not even halfway through the month yet. Last week, I had the chance to speak at an event in Everett, WA, called "Queen, It's A New Day!" This event has been in the NW for 9 years now and its total focus is to empower and restore women who have been abused or addicted. This God-inspired event was birthed by Pastor Judy Hoff of the Recovery for Life Training Center.

As some of you may or may not know, I myself am a survivor of Domestic Violence. I grew up in it and then married it, and lived in it for nearly 8 years until I finally made the choice for ME to get out. Nearly 14 years have passed since I took my stand against violence in my life and my children's lives. It's hard to believe I have never looked back to see how far I have really come - Not until I stood in front of the 150 women last week who were all looking to take back their personal power. Their courage inspired me. God moved in ways that day that no words can truly express. What I left with was the knowing (beyond all knowing) that while I may have some old scars on my body, the total healing of my heart is truly a God healing. For each day I walk this earth, I have the truth in me that I was divinely created - Created for MORE!

My story will continue to be told. I know that it is a powerful story at that, just ask one of the women from Queen last week. God pulled me up by my bootstraps all those years ago and wouldn't let me give up on myself. I realized last week, that same passion is ringing now in all I do, in business, with my family, and with His work for me. What is ringing in your ear for you? It doesn't take having to survive something hurtful or awful, it actually is getting a sense of what you were created for, stepping into it and using it to its fullest potential. God wants you to remember, you were created by Him and for Him, and He has put something in you that is greater than you may be currently living.

I'd like you to read a special poem posted on our Blog. I'd like each of you to read it, print it out and get it up on your wall. It was written by a dear friend (Diane Berquist - "featured member") whom God put into my life during my recovery many years ago. This is written with each of you in mind and I hope you can embrace its truth for you and your future. May you find your God-given power today and put it on like a new pair of fancy shoes. May you walk boldly toward your future, knowing you possess greatness. Times may be hard, business may be slow, yet nothing is insurmountable with God on your side.

I love you and pray for your power to shine and your heart to be filled with warmth and courage.
