Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! Yes, amazingly enough, it is Thanksgiving week already. As the holiday season ramps up, 2009 is coming to a close. Here are a few dinner party planning and Christmas tips to help keep you organized and joyful: *Hosting holiday dinner? Ask others to bring a specific side dish. *Who is on your gift list? Make a list of names now & save stress! *Do you send Christmas cards? Hire someone to fill out the envelopes. *Have a baking day (like Tammy loves to do), then freeze goodies until needed. Comes in handy for hostess gifts for parties you attend. What are you thankful for this year, this season, this moment?  See below for our feature article on thankfulness. "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." - Colossians 3:12-14

As Colossians 3 says, we are to "put on" certain virtues. I believe thankfulness is also something we should intentionally put on and practice. Just like clothes that we pick out each morning, matching them up with the activities and destinations of our day, we select virtues to wear. Thankfulness looks beautiful on everyone!

In these areas of your life, what are you thankful for today?

Personally, I can think of many things that I am thankful for. For my loving and growing family, for the creative outlet I have and people I meet through Koinonia Business Women, for God's provision, for relationships, mentors and my church family, for what 2010 holds, and many other blessings.
