Twitter.com - a relatively new online phenomenon that you should know about! Many business owners are using Twitter (a "micro-blogging" social networking site) for business purposes, as a means of social networking and to attract potential customers to their websites.

At this Twitter overview class, you will get both best practice information about how to use Twitter and practical, hands-on work creating your own effective Twitter profile. Besides best practice info and profile creation, you will also learn:

How to get followers,
How to search for people to follow with similar interests/industry,
What kind of information you should (and shouldn't) tweet about,
How to block unwanted followers,
How to "retweet" info that you like,
How to send a private message to someone who follows you,
How to stay true to your brand with your tweets, and
The best ways to attract attention and be friendly on Twitter.

This short, but sweet workshop will be very interactive. Please bring the following items:

A laptop that can access the internet via WI-FI (wireless connectivity). If you do not have a laptop to use, please indicate that on your registration.
